How to Make Unicorn Eggs

Sooo…I may have gotten a little overboard with egg decorating this year, but I’d like to think of this as a burst of inspiration and not “becoming a crazy egg lady” like what Marc calls it 😉 .

Unicorns are sooo cute, you see them on everything nowadays, so I thought, why not on Easter eggs too? Haha! I’ll admit that I had quite a bit of fun making these.

My supply list consisted of white eggs, a glue gun, some glittered craft paper to make the horns, a black marker and colourful craft flowers.

To make the horn, roll the craft paper into a cone and glue together the long edge then glue to the top of the egg. Once the horn is secure, carefully glue the craft flowers in front of the horn while strategically hiding any visible glue around the base of the horn. Let dry and draw in the eyes or other expressions of your unicorn-egg gang.

The trickiest part I found was making the cone. It took me a few tries to get the right height. Being such a delicate piece, it didn’t help that the paper I used was slightly on the thicker side, making it harder to roll.

This ended up being quite a funny scene don’t you think? To see how I made the blue egg in the above, check out this post.

I think I’m officially all egged-out now 🙂

Hope everyone had a fun filled Easter long weekend!

Thanks for reading et à la prochaine!
